I had every intention of publishing a blog post last week. I even started writing one, but then life got busy and time got away from me. Now I realize that not only has the week passed, but very nearly another month…which means we are approaching the midway point of 2024. How is that even…
It’s funny how one thing leads to another. You start out working on one project and end up tackling another goal entirely. As you may recall, I recently set a Learning & Growth goal to take the mindbodygreen coaching course. In preparation for the course, I was sent a recommended reading list. I chose to…
The downside to having family stay with us is that I always feel a little lonely when they leave. It’s not particularly logical, considering I have my wonderful husband and my delightful dog here with me. Yet, it’s true and I can’t deny the feeling. I’ve come to expect it and to trust that I…
Here we are, approaching the end of one month and the beginning of another…the end of one season and the beginning of another. What better time to check in with our intentions, desires, or goals? As a reminder, instead of New Year’s Resolutions or a Word of the Year, this year I am setting monthly…
I recently completed a monthly check of my blog’s analytics. I’m always curious to see which posts engage you, my readers. I typically look at three measurements: top five posts visited in the past 12 months, the most clicked on posts in Google Search in the past 30 days, and most commented on posts since…
We finally did it…took the long-awaited trip to the Grand Canyon! As you may recall, we chose to visit the west rim, which is not part of the Grand Canyon National Park, but sits within the Hualapai (pronounced Wal-lah-pie) Reservation. The Grand Canyon West experience was worth the trip all on its own, but we…
Mother Nature is temperamental in April…at least where I live…but come May, she settles into spring, and I couldn’t be happier. As we’ve come to the final week of the month, it is time once again to check in on my monthly goal progress and set new goals for May. As a reminder, instead of…
If you asked me what my favorite genre of music is, I’d probably say classic rock or 70s music. I enjoy the Rolling Stones, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac, Simon & Garfunkel, and James Taylor…to name a few. However, when I compiled a playlist for my last Word of the Year, EMPOWERED, I discovered that the…
If you’ve ever received the cold shoulder from someone, you know it can sting, and the discomfort may linger long after the incident. Dealing with that would make a good blog post topic…but that’s a discussion for another day. Today I want to talk about what happens when you get a frozen shoulder and what…
First of all, thank you to everyone who offered encouragement and congratulations on last week’s goal updates. It’s such a gift to have people cheering you on…and holding you accountable. Several of you commented on the three Learning and Growth goals I’ve been considering. Being the overthinker that I am, and considering my tendency to…
