Learning from the children this Christmas

While I was thinking about what message I would like to share with you this Christmas, I saw this story on CBS Sunday Morning, and I knew there was nothing I could say that would top this.

So I invite you to take three minutes to watch this touching story about an amazing teacher and his students…the love they are sharing and the life lessons they are learning. (If you’re sentimental like me, have a tissue on hand.)

Their joy, that’s the gift to you.

I wish you all a joy-filled holiday season. I’ll see you in 2024!

  2. Hi Christie – the video wouldn’t show in Australia – but I wanted to pop on and say Merry Christmas to you and your family – and thank you for sharing another lovely year of blogging together. Onward and upward into 2024 xxx

    1. Hello Leanne. I am so disappointed that the video isn’t available outside of the U.S. I didn’t even think to check that before I used it in my blog. These children raised money to give away to complete strangers. The reactions of the recipients was touching enough, but the things the children said afterward about how the experience made them feel was the real kicker. I hope they take that memory and the lesson learned with them throughout their lives. I too have enjoyed this year of blogging together and look forward to whatever 2024 has to bring. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

  5. The video doesn’t work here in Oz, but Merry Christmas and have a lovely holiday period. And we really can learn a lot from children. Weird how we seem to forget all the best bits of ourself with age. #WWWhimsy

    1. I’m sorry you couldn’t watch the video, Lydia. It’s a good one. Considering most of my blogging friends are spread around the world, I should have checked the availability before using it on my blog. That said, you are correct that we can learn a lot from children and it’s good to reconnect with those parts of ourself from time to time. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
