Friday favorites: accentuate the positive

Here we are at Friday again. It’s been a challenging week, but the thing I love about Friday Favorites is it reminds me to look for the good things–and there are always good things. In the words of Baloo, the bear from Jungle Book, “You’ve got to accentuate the positive; eliminate the negative.”

How could you not smile at this beautiful face, so proud after winning third place in her school spelling bee. Go Piper!

And while we’re on the subject, over the holidays, my coworkers and I earned the reputation of being the most unhealthy department (and those decadent daily treats were worth it!). Now we’re trying to improve our image–and our bodies–with daily fitness breaks.

  1. I enjoyed girls dinner also. This kind of goes with your last blog entry but I finished a good book by Wally Lamb, I’ll Take You There. At first I wasn’t sure what I thought of it, but ended up really liking it. It’s about feminism. You can borrow it if you want!
