Hello Friday! This week’s Friday Favorites is a collection of random images from my camera matched up with some of my favorite quotes. I hope you enjoy. Apparently we love our own cell phones but we hate everyone else’s. – Joe Bob Briggs I was taken by the power that savoring a simple cup…
What does wellness mean to you? Health, fitness, happiness…something more? When I think of wellness, I think of caring for my mind, body, and soul. Here’s what the experts have to say on the matter: Merriam-Webster defines wellness as the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal. The…
It’s Friday again! How time flies when you have a short work week. Since I’ve already shared the items that would usually make up my Friday Favorites, I’m going to do something a little different this week. Today, I’m going to share with you the unusual songs on my running playlist. (I’m sure you’ve been…
This weekend has been a lesson on how to set priorities. I took Monday off from work, so Larry and I could take advantage of the 4th of July holiday for an extended stay at Hawkes Landing. Usually, Hawkes Landing is a perfect place for me to write, so I figured I’d have no problem…
This week brought a wonderful mix of things to smile about–a Friday favorites potpourri, if you will. Let’s start with a visit from these beautiful grandchildren. I signed up and paid for two races before…

As always, this design was hand painted by Meghan at Color My Nails. And, of course, summer means weekends at Hawkes Landing, complete with little furry visitors….
Tomorrow is the official start of summer. With temperatures reaching triple digits here in Utah, it definitely feels like it! Knowing how time flies, and not wanting to reach the end of the season asking “Where did the summer go and why didn’t I do anything?,” I am joining a group of blogger buddies in…
Here is my week in review in a picture-a-day format, except for the one day I shockingly did not take a single photo. Anyway, for the rest of the week… Saturday I came home after Saturday’s 10K to this sweet note from our youngest grandchild. It was hidden under my notebook, so I would be…
Another race in the books—this time the Utah Valley 10K with my sister, Cindy. It was her first big race, so that made it extra special. I can’t wait to tell you all about it, so let’s get started. Friday afternoon, Cindy picked me up and we headed south to Provo (about 38 miles from…
