Another week has zipped by, and it’s time once again for the Friday Favorites blog post. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. And in case you’re wondering, here’s my idea of fun. We got Larry a new chair for Hawkes Landing. So no more of this. (Notice he did not let go…
I started this blog 18 months ago with three goals in mind. The 18-month mark seems like an appropriate time for a checkup. Am I meeting those goals? Is this blog healthy, developing as expected? The original goals I was looking for an outlet to express myself, a form of creative writing that would impose…
This week was full of wonderful moments. Here are the top 10–not in order of magnificence, because I couldn’t possibly choose, so in chronological order… 1. This was the view on my drive to work Friday morning. I love the way the clouds are sitting on the mountains. It was so beautiful, I had to…

What is a Hawkes Landing you ask and why do I need one? Hawkes Landing is the name we have given our home away from a home — a cabin nestled in the mountain above the charming Swiss-inspired town of Midway. Of course, when I say everyone needs one, I am not suggesting you all…
This week’s Friday Favorites is all about new things and family time. After three weeks of my bright orange “vacation” nails, I was ready for a change. I’m loving my soft pink spring nails. Thanks again to Meghan who always does a beautiful job and is such fun to visit! And thanks Cindy for introducing…

This is the new beginning—the first day of the rest of your life, and all that jazz. Of course, “new beginning” indicates that we will do something different this time….
